Do Large Images Impact Page Loading Speed?

Do you recommend omitting large images on the homepage to improve page loading speed? 

Answer: 

This matters less with Convertri because we do a lot of image optimization. For example, a 4 or 5 megabyte file loads quickly in Convertri. However, the more stuff you add to the page the longer it will take for the page to load. That is especially true for a home slider which would be above the fold since that’s the first impression people will get of your page. This is not something you have to worry about too much but do keep an eye on it.
