How To Send Form Submissions to a Different Email Address

Form submission notifications are a great way of getting form information sent right to your inbox. It can also act as a replacement for an autoresponder, so you don’t need to use a third-party service.

These will automatically be sent to the main email address registered to the account, so the one you use to log in. But you might want to send these to another address so a client can use this feature or for an email address you set up just for this purpose. To set this up:

  1. Go to your Account dashboard.
  2. Scroll until you see Email Form Configuration and under this heading, you will see the option ‘Manage Emails’.

  1. Selecting this will make a pop-up appear. You will be able to see that your account email address is verified with this account already. At the top, there is a box for you to enter the email address you want to use and then click the blue Add button.
  2. Another pop-up will appear letting you know that an email has been sent to the address you entered.
  3. If you press Okay on this, you will be able to see the original pop-up, but now the new email address has been added. Next to this will be an orange clock icon, which means that this email address is pending verification.
  4. Go to your inbox and find the verification email which has been sent. If you are adding a client, then they will need to do this step. The email will look like this:

  1. Click the blue ‘Yes, Send Me Form Notifications button’. You’ll be taken to a browser screen, letting you know this was a success. You can click the orange ‘Go To Convertri’ to be taken to your account or go back to the original tab and refresh.
  2. The orange clock next to the new email address will now have been replaced with a green tick, meaning that this is not verified.

Note: You will be able to resend the confirmation email notification if it’s not received (sometimes they get ‘lost’). You will see a resend email notification button on the Email Configuration pop-up. The button will become active 24 hours after adding the email address. To resend the notification, simply click on the ’Resend confirmation email’ button.

Now you have added this email address to your Convertri account.

If you now want to set up a form with this email address:

  1. Go to the page builder where you want to set this up and select Forms from the top-hand toolbar.
  2. Select Email from the left toolbar in the pop-up and toggle on Email Notifications.
  3. If you click the current Email Address this notification is being sent to, a dropdown will appear where you can see all the verified email addresses in your account. This will look like this:

Now you can set up form notifications as normal, but they will be sent to the new address. To find out more about form notifications in general, click here.
