Some browsers no longer support autoplaying videos, but if you want your video to autoplay it’s always worth configuring the options just in case.

  1. In the Page Builder, add a self-hosted video by clicking Media in the elements tray, then clicking or dragging a Video element onto your page.
  2. With your video element selected, in the Properties panel, paste your self-hosted video’s URL into the video source.
  3. Toggle Autoplay to On. This will show additional options, where you can choose to autoplay your video on desktop only, mobile, or both.
  4. Click Additional Autoplay Settings to configure whether the autoplay starts on mute, if the video restarts on unmute, autoplays only once, or continues offscreen.

When you toggle on autoplay with Convertri, this doesn’t mean that all browsers will allow a video to autoplay with sound. This can be very annoying, but unfortunately is unavoidable and can’t be edited. We have created a handy list of what operating systems show your user, depending on the browser. Click here to see it: Different Browsers' and Operating Systems' Autoplay Settings.
