How To Add A MX Record

A MX record is a type of DNS record that defines how a mail server handles email for a particular domain name. It lets you receive email at your domain, which you would typically set up with your domain registrar, as something like hello@yourdomain.com.

How to add a MX record to your domain in Convertri:

From the Domains screen, click on the Records link to the right of your domain, then click on Create Record. This is will open the Create a DNS Record dialogue:

Leave the Name field blank, at Type select MX, and then at Value add your MX record and click on Create

NB: You will need to include a priority and a domain name that specifies a mail server.

Some examples of what your MX record might look like at you registrar:

Host: @
Priority: 0
Target: yourmailserver.com

If you experience any difficulties please contact the support desk at support@convertri.com so that we can add the record for you. Make sure to include your Convertri log in email, the domain name you want to add the record to and the MX record.
