What Is a Video Sales Letter?
A video sales letter is a page where instead of having your sales letter in the form of words, it’s in the form of a video! Making one of these is such a great way to show off what you’re selling, a high-quality presentation will make your product also look incredibly high-quality. You can add your video to a Convertri page and let the sales start rolling in. A forced video sales letter is where your user can't click off or stop the video when they are on the page, so you can make sure they will see exactly what you want them to.
How To Use Convertri To Show Off Your Video Sales Letter
Once you have your video ready, you want to make sure people are paying attention to it and to what you’re selling. These steps will use Convertri’s features to show off your video as much as possible.
1. Go to the page where you have added your Video Sales Letter and go to the Video Properties for your Video. This will be called either Video, Vimeo, YouTube or Wistia Properties depending on which of these video elements you are using.
NOTE: The next step shows how to use Playback Controls, which are available for YouTube, Vimeo and Convertri’s own video player element, but not Wistia. Showing or not showing Playback Controls for a Wistia video needs to be edited within Wistia, not Convertri.
2. You will see the video player editing options, which include several key controls to help you create a more effective forced video sales letter:
Show Playback Controls – Turning this off prevents viewers from pausing or skipping, ensuring they watch your full message.
- Autoplay on Desktop/Mobile – Enable this to have your video start automatically when the page loads, grabbing immediate attention. You can also adjust Additional Autoplay Settings here, which help fine-tune when and how autoplay is triggered based on browser behavior.
- Automatically Redirect When Video Ends – Use this to send users to another page (e.g., checkout or next step) after the video finishes.
- Toggle Sticky (available for Vimeo, YouTube, and Wistia) – Keeps the video fixed on screen while users scroll, so it remains visible throughout.
3. Another useful control is Animate Play Button, which adds an animated effect around your play button. This draws attention and increases the likelihood of viewers clicking play.
We hope you have enjoyed these tips and they help you make the most of your Video Sales Letter on Convertri!
